Tinuy-an Falls, Surigao Sur: On My Pace

I have gone to this place last two months ago but so many places were left unexplored since I couldn't deviate from the my group's itinerary. This time I will rediscover the treasure on my own pace. This time I have all the freedom to stay and seize the moment.
Though the weather may be a little angry with its endless showers, still we continued with our journey. Departing from Tagum City at 7:00 A.M., we arrived at Bislig City at 11:00 AM and took our lunch. Afterwards there went our trail towards Tinuy-an Falls. If the seven falls of Lake Sebu boasts of its powerful gushing water, this Tinuy-an declares its dominance when it comes to its expanse. This is appropriately likened to Niagara falls. Dongon falls of Lake Sebu's expanse could be multiplied into six falls. That's how wide it is.

Unlike our previous journey, the whiteness of the waterfall had maximized perhaps because of the heavy rain. Not much tourists could be seen since summer was over. But still we headed towards the upper portion of the water falls. Walking through the steel trail connected to the steep side of the hill, I couldn't help but admire once more its beauty. I never get tired of feeling the water which was a little bit warm.
LFNHS teachers enjoy the water
A little drop of shampoo is enough to cleanse one's scalp. I could still remember the smiles of my co-workers as they enjoyed their lather from their soaps. Their laughter still resonates in my ear.

Looks delicious but cannot be eaten

What was remarkable is the cleanliness of the place. I could not imagine a caretaker who immersed her half body in the water just to sweep the leaves underwater. Some had even brushed the rocks and pathways as not to make them slippery.
Two months ago, we had even explored near the waterfalls as we took the small raft made of bamboos and reached the area near the waterfalls' wall where no water can touch us.

It was very peaceful in contrast to the moment where you were hit by the water. It was deafening but therapeutic since it feels like a massage on one's back.

There was so much more to do in Bislig City proper. As we left the Tinuy-an Falls, we passed by a lake which was very peaceful. Judging from the sound of a stone thrown at its water, it was very deep. I just wondered why there were no fish cage in the area.
So we went to the Doll House where we were welcomed by flags from the different parts of the world.
Inside the house was a wallpaper with a sala set and a garden on its picture. It looks so real that when you took a picture and pretend like sitting or doing anything, you wouldn't think at all that it was artificial.

On another room, we were amazed by the collection of dolls all over the world - from Asia and the West. Some  were made from fabric, others from ceramic. I was quite sure that the cost in not just peanuts.  Girls would surely enjoy just watching them and would want to own one.
Beside the dollhouse is the cafeteria where we enjoyed a halo-halo and spaghetti at a very affordable price. Since it was located on a hill, I have enjoyed a whole view of the Bislig City as well as the shoreline. I have seen an island from afar but we didn't have much time to explore it and it was getting dark.
Florlan Resort
It took around twenty minutes to reach Florlan Resort where we stayed for the night. It was a quite resort with two swimming pools and they are also serving meals. A P600 pesos for a room already included breakfast. The experience for the day was rewarding enough.

Another day of exploration awaited us.
